The world’s first and only US Development Academy

For the upcoming 2021-2022 season, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA Campus will host the world’s first and only Paris Saint-Germain US Development Academy, designed for elite U11-U19 players. Official tryouts are set to start on May 1st 2021. The Academy’s mission is to train high-potential players and help them reach their highest potential while giving them access to a complete professional environment.

The campus offers a unique professional environment featuring top-of-the-line amenities (20,000 seat stadium, full sized adjacent soccer fields, complete fitness center, brand new locker rooms, indoor learning/meeting rooms and video analysis rooms) designed to reproduce the facilities of a European professional team.

With access to a set development pathway and a global network, players who are part of the Paris Saint-Germain US Development Academy will be expertly prepared and exposed to NCAA Division I opportunities, and the professional levels. The most talented players will also have the opportunity to be sent to Europe and abroad to accelerate their development and pursue their professional soccer careers.

All-Encompassing Training

Players who join the Paris Saint-Germain US Development Academy for the 2021-2022 season will be fully immersed in a professional training environment that includes, 10 hours of training per week, equivalent to more than 500 hours of training throughout the season. All activities are led by a full team of experts dedicated to each team including a professional and highly qualified Paris Saint-Germain Academy coaching staff and a team of specialists in all areas of soccer preparation and performance such as certified nutritionists, physical therapists, college advisors and podiatrists.

With this team of coaches and specialists, player at the Development Academy will receive the all-inclusive on and off the field preparation with access to a complete fitness center to work on strength and conditioning, tracking technology to measure performances, and video analysis sessions to analyze team tactics as well as individual and team strengths and weaknesses.

Elite competition with exposure opportunities

The Academy also immerses players in a very competitive environment, with carefully chosen competitions that include the USL Academy League and USL Academy Cup, exposing players to the highest level of youth soccer in the United States. The competition program will also feature regional, national, international tournaments, participation in exclusive Paris Saint-Germain events in the U.S and Europe, and exposure opportunities to the next level via ID Camps & Showcases.

From Paris Saint-Germain Academy to Paris Saint-Germain

This past month saw Paris Saint-Germain sign two Paris Saint-Germain Academy players to join the official youth Professional Academy of Paris Saint-Germain in Paris. Nahil Kante, from Paris Saint-Germain Academy Aubervilliers in Paris, and Mathis Jangeal, from PSG Academy Martinique, were both signed to long term deals.
