Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA was well represented at the inaugural MIC Football USA tournament that took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from November 9 to 11. PSG Academy Florida teams from the Miami, Plantation and Palm Beach Academies, received notable accolades, ending the tournament with powerful results at one of the world’s most competitive youth soccer tournaments, MIC Football.

For two decades, MIC Football has welcomed the world’s greatest players like Neymar Jr. at its world-renowned competitive tournaments in Spain. Through participation in prestigious tournaments like MIC Football’s first edition in the U.S., PSG Academy USA players are able to put into play what they learn during practice sessions and are able to make adjustments to their game in order to improve, facing high-level opponents and competition that are sure to elevate their game.

PSG U12 Miami and PSG U16 Miami shined throughout their competitive tournament schedule and in the end, became Champions in the Gold Division, receiving the ultimate prize to represent PSG Academy USA at MIC Football in Costa Brava, Spain!

Coach Julian, PSG U16 Miami coach said, “Tournaments like these are a great platform for our players to be exposed to the best competition in the U.S. Even better, proving to be one of the best teams in our category and winning a trip to represent PSG Academy USA in Spain is a great outcome! I’m happy that my kids are able to receive these experiences, but even more that they will get another chance in Spain to receive European exposure.”

During the tournament, MICFootball USA and the International Center of European Football (ICEF), a private soccer academy located in the Greater Geneva area, scouted players to select the MVP’s and hand out individual awards per category.

PSG Academy Florida players stood out during the individual award ceremony in the Gold Bracket, including Dominic Guerra (U12 Golden Boot) Sonny Garcia (U12 Best Goalkeeper), Alex Afif (U12 MVP), Sean Maresma (U16 MVP) and Nicolas Oteldo (U16 Best Goalkeeper).

Our PSG Academy USA teams and players did an incredible job and showed tremendous heart and perseverance at one of the most prestigious and world-renowned competitions in the world! This competitive environment surely pushed our players to excel and succeed!
