Paris Saint-Germain Academy continues its expansion in North America, with the opening of Paris Saint-Germain Academy Los Angeles this 2019-2020 season.
Patrice Filin has been named Academy Director. With an extensive background in youth soccer in France and in the United States, Filin has 20+ years of coaching experience. He is also a former semi-professional player for Paris FC (Elite Youth U17 team, pre-selected for the French National Youth Team) and former Division I NCAA student-athlete (all-conference team).
‘’Our soccer community in Los Angeles has a unique opportunity to work with a one-of-a-kind club that has a strongly defined pathway for player development, led by professional soccer coaches,” said Patrice. “This will let us enhance our offer, by providing our players with the best training opportunities that will elevate their soccer to the highest level.”
Filin has been specially trained by Paris Saint-Germain to pass on the club’s values and philosophy to its coaches and players. The Paris Saint-Germain Academy Los Angeles Technical Team, with carefully chosen coaches, are monitored and trained by Technical Directors coming from Paris Saint-Germain Academy North America and the Parisian Headquarters to expertly implement the Paris Saint-Germain training programs and methodology.

Paris Saint-Germain Academy Los Angeles offers a unique opportunity for boys and girls, from ages 4 to 17, to elevate their game. Players and coaches in Los Angeles will be part of the prestigious Paris Saint-Germain global network, giving them access to international Paris Saint-Germain events and exposure that will create lifetime memories and experiences.
The opening of the Academy in Los Angeles started off with intensive summer camps leading to the year-round Academy programs.
